The practice of "sex selection," or the aborting of female fetuses because of a preference for sons, is an issue in several Asian countries, and may also be done by some immigrants in Canada and the United States.

A non-issue. Women having selective abortions based on sex is not a problem in this county. You also cannot usually tell the sex of a baby on an utrasound until around twenty five weeks of pregnancy. Women are not going to be pregnant that long and have an abortion cause it's not the sex they wanted, they accept it and come up with a new name.
